Surprisingly, a multitude of zoos house capybaras. Online sources may be misleading, Google’s updates arrive daily, and capybaras are frequently relocated between zoos without much notice. Japan has a plethora of zoos with capybaras, too many to be mentioned individually. Frankly, almost every zoo in Japan seems to have them. I’ll be more than happy to update this list if you inform me about your sightings.
